MGP Ready For The Biggest One Around

Blackburn Rovers winger Morten Gamst Pederson is VERY MUCH up for the Lancashire debt against Burnley on Sunday. (Then again who isn't?!)

Pedersen knows what it's like to score a winner in one of these derby matches after doing so the last time we met (four-years ago in the FA Cup) and believes that this is the biggest derby clash you can get.

Pedersen told the Official Blackburn Rovers Website: "It's the biggest game for the club. It is bigger to play Burnley in a local derby than it is to play Manchester United if you look at the history. You have to be prepared and I am looking forward to it.

"I didn't understand how big the game was until after that replay, which we won.

"When I scored the crowd went mental and it is probably the loudest I have ever heard Ewood.
"

People might not agree about the size of this derby (and it being bigger than most others like MPG says) but it's certainly one that sees tensions run sky high and has an edge to it that few other matches do, it's more than having bragging rights over winning a football match and the Norwegian International seems to be able to grasp the concept of this VERY well!! Rovers have a good record in recent meetings with Burnley but that will count for nothing on Sunday and nor will the fact that Burnley have failed to take a single point away from Turf Moor in the Premier League so far this season, everything before this match goes out of the window come 12.30pm on Sunday at Ewood Park!!

I cannot wait! lets hope it is played out in the right manner and the right team wins (hint: they wear blue and white). Well said Morten, this is more than just a standard game, the tension will be off the charts!
