N'Zonzi's Rovers Surprise

Blackburn Rovers midfielder Steven N'Zonzi has confessed that he's surprised at how quickly he's adapted to the English game and been able to establish himself in the Rovers XI.

N'Zonzi was signed from Amiens during the summer and when he was signed from he French club not many people knew about him, however, he had been compared to former Arsenal midfielder Patrick Vieira. Most of us were left hoping that we'd see something from the midfielder in time but N'Zonzi has managed to establish himself in Sam Allardyce's XI instantly and this is something that even the Frenchman has been surprised by.

N'Zonzi told the Official Blackburn Rovers Website: "I didn't know (about playing regularly) when I came but it is good for me.

"I hope I will continue to play, to progress every time.
"

The 20-year-old (who scored his first Rovers goal in the 6-2 defeat at Arsenal last Sunday) has surprised me as I didn't expect him to play much more than a bit part role this season, however, he is playing on merit. N'Zonzi does still has a lot to learn but as he does this I'd personally expect him to get even better, and that can only be a good thing for Rovers!!

Dam it Walker you beat me to this by two minutes! lol. Good to see N'Zonzi kicking on. I genuinely like the guy already and he is well on course to become a firm favourite at ewood with his range of passing, his aerial ability and his tireless running. Keep going Steven!

I´m impressed myself over N´Zonzi. Before the season I considered him as a player for next season. Maybe we have the new Viera? :)

This guy hs potential hes always gonna get stuck in. One advantage we have is now its not only samba as the target man for set pieces we can throw this guy in to confuse the defence.
