Allardyce Furious With Referee (Video)

Blackburn Rovers manager Sam Allardyce discusses his thoughts on our defeat at Arsenal on Sunday with Sky Sports.

Arsenal were worthy winners in the end but the 6-2 defeat at the Emirates was maybe a little unfair and could've been different as our chances were not helped when referee Peter Walton didn't award a penalty early in the second half when we were 3-2 down, this has seen Allardyce launch a stinging attack on Walton (and this takes up most of his post-match reaction.) You are able to watch and listen to what Big Sam's though here:

Even if the game had been tied up again at 3-3, we would still have scored a couple more. You dearly missed Samba and Nelsen. The defence was very unorganized, very un-Allardyce

Having just watched MOTD2 (which seemed unusually fair to Rovers) it was a clear unequivical and undisputed penalty - BSA is right but that's life. At 3-3, the balance of the game would have been different (especially if the defender had been dismissed - not that I like seeing players of any side being sent off - we'll never know. In all probability a classy Arsenal would have still secured a deserved victory (even with 10 men) but the margin would have been less. Positives for Rovers? 2 goals against Arsenal, - could have been more but for some great saves and blocks and Robinson in fine form with some brilliant saves. Interested as to what the Vital Rovers reporters make of the lack of Samba & Nelson - would they have made a difference? Not many sides are going to keep out an in form classy Arsenal attack - awesome was the term used on MOTD2. I prefer losing 6-2 than 4-0 - at least Rovers turned up and gave the gunners a scare or two!

Fair to say it was a penalty which may or may not of changed the game, shame as i was really enjoying the game up until that point, Excellent end to end stuff and was a joy to watch, some lovely touches by both teams, Dunny was superb, the formation still sucks and defensive errors are still a major issue however i think Arsenal would of destroyed the best defenses in the country with their performance yesterday. Would of been nice not to end up with the scoreline we got as i dont think it was a fair rep of our overall performance.

Arsenal would of beaten anyone yesterday. Yes it was a clear penalty but thats life. We should be proud we took the game to Arsenal and lets you use that inspire us to a derby win! Big Sams Blue and White Army!
