Big Sam pleased with Di Santo

Big Sam pleased with Di Santo

Sam Allardyce is confident Franco Di Santo will be continue to do the business for Rovers until January, but is not convinced that Chelsea will let him stay.

Di Santo is on an agreed loan at Ewood Park for half a season but if the current transfer window ban imposed on Chelsea remains then the talented Argentine will probably be on his way back to Stamford Bridge come the turn of the year.

He was in fine touch on Saturday and showed some awesome skills holding up the ball and bringing others into play. He was also really unfortunate not score.

Whatever happens in January, Allardyce is keen to maximise the effect Di Santo has on the Blackburn first team and is of no doubt that Chelsea will benefit from him being at Rovers.

Allardyce, speaking to Sky Sports said -'Franco has contributed a huge amount,'

'He could have gone on loan to a club in Europe, but Chelsea wanted to find out whether he is good enough for the Premier League.

'There's no doubt that if he continues to play like he did on Saturday he will be great for us. Then perhaps Chelsea can benefit.'

Is there anyway that Chelsea will not notice and let us keep him until the end of the season?! I think we are the only other Premier League club who will end up cursing this Chelsea transfer ban.

The more we see of him the better he gets. I would go as far to say in ninety minutes he has, barring injury, relegated Jason Roberts to the bench permanently.

Its such a shame that it looks like he will be leaving us in January as I personally would love to have him here until May.

I'd rather see him stay on loan all season with you boys if he's gonna get a decent amount of playing-time. With drogba looking lethal and anelka/kalou and perhaps sturridge all ahead of him, Franco would be wise to concentrate on improving his PL game.

He was milion times better than roberts in that role and was indeed unlucky not to have nicked a goal, id love him to be here for the rest of the season and also to play alongside another striker rather than the formation we continue to play. Maybe a deal can be sorted out come january, who knows....

I suppose it all depends on how Chelsea geith appeal. If they are successful or canat east get it freezed then we are good to go. Sam needs to start sweet talking IMO.
