Rovers Keen To Tie Down Hoilett

Blackburn Rovers are keen on tying Junior Hoilett down to a long-term contract at Ewood Park.

The 19-year-old had been unable to make his Rovers debut until this season (despite being with the club since he was 13-years-old) and had spent the past two seasons on loan in Germany. However, with a work permit finally issued over the summer Hoilett has impressed the Rovers coaching staff in his first-team appearances to date and Rovers chairman John Williams has confirmed that talks are underway.

John Williams told the Lancashire Telegraph: "Some preliminary discussions have already taken place. It's a work in progress.

This is VERY good news as the teenager has looked very impressive in the small amount we've seen of him so far and I'm sure that Junior will only get better!!
