Salgado to lure Becks to Rovers????

Salgado to lure Becks to Rovers????

With David Beckham looking to find a loan deal to enhance his chances of a spot in the English World Cup team (which i still think aint that hard, strap on a pair of boots, run straight, and pass a ball and your a shoe in!), former Real Madrid team mate, now Rover's Fans Favourite, Michael Salgado, has hinted at an attempt of luring his ex teammate to England's equivalent of Hollywood, Blackburn.....

Salgado says, 'I'll speak to him about it, The problem might be that we have to collect money from players to pay his wages'...

A little tongue in cheek their from the Spanish Maestro, however, could their be more to this...We all know Sam's fetish for the older stars with something to prove, and with Dioufy and Emo fighting for the Right Midfield birth, do we really need Beckham?

Heck yea!!!, doubt we can pull it of, but if someone can, Sam's the Man.....

SHould be interesting this one!!!!! Could this have been part of Sam's reasoning for signing Salgado....a bit of forward thinking maybe?

Yeah, right. Another pipe dream methinks. Maybe worth temporarily breaking the bank though, as Becks in blue and white should be good for some good publicity, another couple of thousand on the gate and even an extra place or two in the league - it could be a gamble that might pay off??? It wouldn't be the first time that Rovers have attracted retiring class stars - Ossie Ardilles, Duncan McKenzie and Dave Wagstaff all spent time at the twilight of their careers at Rovers in the lower divisions.

Worth a shot though York. 6 months for becks, great for him prior to the world cup, and great for rovers, on and off the field! Surely he doesnt need money from us, he should play for free! lol.......aye, doubt this will even get a sniff, but hey who knows!

I really don't think this would happen - Rovers or AC Milan...

i can't believe this has even become a news story..... shows how much the press needs a story when they take salgado's obvious joke and try and make it look realistic.... its a nice thought but that is all, beckham wouldn't think about it, unless he is secretly having an affair with salgado!

he could be tempted! he knows it could be his last time in the premiership so that could play a big part and with the world cup coming up he will want to be at full fitness and big sams the man to get him that .. hard to see it happen tho

This will never happen. Beckham will not pick us over a return to AC Milan.

Salgado has a great sense of humor. I love the humility and spirit he's brought to our club. I can't imagine Van Nistelroy would have come with the same levity
