Salgado- 'I Felt Like a Kid Again'

Many skeptics questioned Salgado's move from Real Madrid to Blackburn, however, we are about to see the rewards of another Sam Allardyce bargin signing, with the Spanish International poking his head into the Rovers squad, a 10 minute cameo performance against the Wolves to get him into the groove of things.

It was Salgado's first performance in the Rovers Jersey, and has quickly become a favourite for the Rovers Faithful.

Salgado speaks out

'I felt like a kid again. It was really exciting for me. To finally play in one of the best leagues in the world is a big day for me'

We have signed the Spaniard from Sunny Spain for 2 seasons, and I'm sure he will be pressing for a starting spot in no time!

Enjoyed hearing our fans singing "Are you Tugay in disguise" after he took some great first touches. Maybe it was because of the hair tho. Either way it looks like he's going to become an instant cult hero!!

I will be delighted if he is a cross between those two Sas!!! One look at him on the ball and I have my mind up already - cult hero status awaits for the Spaniard!

A nice little cameo. If it's a sign of what is to come over time then I'm pleased!

excellent. how hard do you think we'll be pushing for a cup? do we stay happy with keeping out of relegation, or do we want to see a cup run? personally i wouldn't mind some silver!

Keep an eye out for the team we play v Notts Forest next week - that will tell you all you need to know Retro about how much Sam wants a cup run!

I'd love a good Cup run, still think Big Sam will keep it slightly more low key for another round at least, but if we keep progressing he'll make the team stronger.
