Big Sam Predicts Big Future For Junior

Rovers manager Sam Allardyce is feeling the love for youngster David Junior Holiett after his excellent cameo in yesterdays bore draw with West Ham.

Junior put in a great shift on right wing and came close to scoring twice. He also displayed some trickery and skill that was sorely lacking from Rovers yesterday.

Allardyce speaking to Sky Sports said - 'We have an exciting young lad in Junior,'.

'He played at Gillingham (and scored in Tuesday's 3-1 Carling Cup victory) and there is a bright future for him coming I think.

'But we don't want him to get too big-headed just yet and start getting carried away thinking he is this, that and the other.

'He is a sensible lad I hope. We'll introduce him slowly and develop him slowly.

'I think he showed enough to prove sometimes he can produce a little bit of brilliance.

'In that respect he is a little like Dunny (David Dunn), offering something that other players cannot which can open the door for you.'

Many people don't know but we have actually had Junior on the books since he was 13 and has always been held in high regard.

Treating him with kid gloves could be a good option as exposing him to the limelight too mcuh too son would damage him rather than aid the young man.

Keep it up whatever you are doing though Junior!!!

Definitely bring him on slowly but at the same time he has to get some decent playing time with the first team or he wont develop. Dont want another Gallagher on the books being loaned out every season

Fat sam will be predicting a lot of "futures" this season. Asd long as Blackburn fans can put up with a useless "present" he should hold on to his job till Christmas. Let's face it, he left a lasting legacy at Newcastle, didn't he?

Porker Sam told you lot to pull your heads in as he knows best and there is no mention of it here, fell asleep half way through and missed nothing, time to start booing the fat one after team selections like that at home.

Cynical much guys?! Sindbad we know you dont like Sam but truth is he kept us up last season and we had 2 strikers injured yesterday and one not match fit yet.... things are taking shpa eslowly. All of Sams signings so far have range from solid to very good.

Sinbad, where are you getting this stuff from?? I think its fair to say that we were the better team in all 3 of our fixtures and but for poor refereing decisions (two disallowed goals at Sunderland and a blatant penalty decsion on sat), severe injury loss and a few wasteful strikers including some awsome saves (Given) then we would probably be sat with 6-7 points from three games!!! Big Sam is making the best of a bad situation.....having to sell his best players and not being able to replace them with the same cash!! No other person would be capable of managing this situation and for those purists who think that we ought to be playing a Brazil type brand of football then u are deluded!!! Name me one team outside of the top 4/5 who plays entertaining football?? Everton - NO, Villa - NO.....unless you have ability then you have to play to ur strengths, enter Stoke, Bolton, Everton, etc etc......

Blackburn Confirm Caddis Arrival

Caddis, who left Bury at the end of a short deal, was given his chance due to his previous with Blackburn boss Mowbray at Celtic. But the ex-Birmingham full back has secured a deal.

Samuel Signing Sealed

Blackburn have signed Reading forward Dominic Samuel, who once worked with Mowbray at Coventry - also loaned to Colchester, Dagenham and Gillingham, ending last season at Ipswich.

Just Saying, But What If....

Blackburn will do well under the boss. However, for arguments sake, if Rovers didn't secure an instant Championship return what would happen to Mowbray?

Caddis At The Double

Caddis has now spent the past three weeks with Blackburn, joining the club in Austria last week, and Mowbray, his boss at Celtic earlier in his career, is close to making his decision.
