Rovers To Bid For Taylor?

Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce is set to bid and hopefully capture Middlesbrough left back Andrew Taylor and hopes to get his man for £2 million.

Allardyce wants two players to replace departing Stephen Warnock, as we all know the first is Pascal Chimbonda but the second player appears now to be the targeted Taylor.

Taylor would compete with first choice left back Gael Givet for that spot and also fits the mould that Sam has tried to buy this summer - young and full of potential.

The young Boro startlet has been in good form for two seasons straight now and Boro boss is not keen to sell but knows for the right price he couldn't stop the move.

doesnt appear to be a bad idea this but I think this is just an initial bit of speculation but I wouldnt be against this.

i like sams philosophy with all of this investment that hes tryin 2 do, but sooner or later, we're gonna hit a dud! whether that cripples us depends on how much he's spread the risk....
GoneRoverBoard
even Hughes hit a dud from time to time though... I am sure Sam will too but we are doing well so far. It has been a careful, considered approach so far, it may be a tad frustrating but its slowly working.

Somehow didn't quite think BSA would opt for a right back as first choice for the left back position - so it makes sense. With Chimbonda, we would seem to be well covered - though it doesn't say much for BSA's confidence in Khizanishvili and Ollson?
YORK ROVER
Sorry but I had to post this link to a BBC blog from a mate of mine, makes good points on Rovers in the media. http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/A56301059 Relates to F365 yesterday and a comment about Rovers getting Chimbonda said "Ar*e of a manager moves for ar*e of a player for ar*e of a football club". Seems I wasn't the only one outraged by that comment.

I think the plan si unravelling as we go along. That is shocking that as well fat-elvis. good points that your buddy makes there! total ignorant nonsense from 365!

I'm not too keen on Taylor. He showed a lot of early promise but has really turned out to be a bit of useless player. Ask any Boro fan and I dont think they would be too sad to see him go. I saw that yesyerday on f365 too fat-elvis, quite a stupid and ignorant comment from a moron.

It really drives me crazy comments like that, especially being a cockney Rover! All the Spurs, Gooners, Chelski etc think that's what we're like without even watching a game, it's lonely down here without any other Rovers fans :( BTW I heard a rumour from the Spurs boys that we might get Gareth Bale on loan, good if we don't ask him to defend!
fat-elvis
We might never win again if we get Bale, that lad is cursed.
Durks
I'm not sure boys...Sam has said he doesn't want anymore because he has no more money......I cant help feeling the anger rise in my blood!!! With a total of 30m brought in this summer and less that half of it been spent we can expect a worrying longterm future!!! We cant keep pulling rabbits outa the hat, our team is fine now but we cant keep selling and reinvesting the much lesser sums that we are doing!!! Sam looks thoroughly P***ed off to be honest!!!

Fat Elvis! welcome my fellow southern Rover! although, ive abandoned you down there this season, as ive got a placement on a project up north, so have a season ticket this year! :) ................... As for Taylor, i havent realy seen much of him, but i wouldn't like to put my faith in another young left back this season, maybe later on in the season yes, but i would rather see us go after that french CB if were gonna be spending any more money (cerdan i think his name is)!!
