Di Santo And Nelsen Injury Concerns
Blackburn Rovers look set to be without Franco Di Santo and Ryan Nelsen for some time after both picked up injuries against Sunderland on Saturday.
Di Santo had to come off with a hamstring injury early in his full debut for Rovers and Nelsen's knee problem has returned and the early diagnoses from Sam Allardyce on both isn't good.
Allardyce told Sky Sports: "Franco has pulled a hamstring and we're not quite sure why that's happened. It looks like he's got a weakness from the hamstring he pulled last year.
"Nelsen's knee has flared up again and that is a medial ligament which is a very dangerous one now."
These injuries added to the misery of losing a match at Sunderland 2-1 that we should've got something from and we now have to keep our fingers crossed that these injuries aren't as serious as they might appear to be??

To be fair, hes only a young lad and im sure hel improve. Croats historically have taken time to settle in the prem but usually all come good (think Suker, Corluka, Modric, Krancjar)

Di Santo looked class on the ball so I hope he aint out long (sorry merlin!). And if anything this means we need Warnock now if Ryan is out...

Shame he's injured so soon, ive said it before but maybe the training needs to be looked into as surely its not just bad luck all our players are more susceptible to injuries than most.

Gael is a more than able replacement for Ryan. I f we do sell Stevie W to villa then it should be for cash plus Shorey now. I know he is not as good a player but he would do as cover as i feel that Ollson is not ready yet and would do well with a spell in the championship.

Hmm Di Santo looked really good, shame he isnt ours! Hopefully Kalinic can step up and start netting, and then Di Santo will be back for our Dreded october, with 3 of the top 4 away...

del - I personally would take £7 million plus Shorey then at least we have cover for Gael. Then we can use rest of money for a midfielder maybe?
