Gallagher Leaves Rovers For Foxes

Leicester City have signed Blackburn Rovers striker Paul Gallagher for an undisclosed fee.

The 25-year-old Scotsman was actually Rovers longest serving player but has been out on loan a lot in recent times.

Gallagher has always been a hit at Championship level and will no doubt prove to be again as he wants regular games - something that Sam couldn't offer him at Rovers.

Gallagher did impress Sam during his last chance this pre-season but it wasn't enough as the arrivals of Nikola Kalinic and Franco Di Santo put pay to any chance Paul had of making it back to the first team.

I am sure I won't be the only one wishing Gallagher all the very best as he always gave his all for Blackburn.

See you later Paul. It was inevitable it was going to happen at some point but I still think it is a sad day.

Paul, you were unlucky with the timing. I have no doubts in your abilities and you go out there and get the playingtime you deserve for Leicester. I wish Big Sam could afford to try you out, after your loyalty for Rovers, but business is business. And I think you might be happy for a permanent deal. One day you´ll be a hit on a higher level. Good luck, Paul, good luck!

How much do you reckon we got for this? £1 million? Maybe slightly less?
Mikey D
I have read other places that it´s 1 million quid. I´m not sure if that´s enough, but he hasn´t showed the world what his actually good for, yet. We take this million, and then i guess Leicester will take 4-5 million pound after two seasons. Gally isn´t stupid, he knows were the goal is. But he has to show that he really want to become a great player. What do you think we should do with the million, Mikey? Bring more cute girls at the hot dog and beer stands at Ewood? :P Is there any possibilties to sign a bargain playmaker on the midfield with that amount, nowadays?

I am not sure dude to be honest, maybe this will offset the Salgado wages? Who knows.... I think we could well be done for the summer bar anybody leaving (I hope not).
Mikey D
Maybe it goes to Salgado. Anyway I have a good feeling on Rovers now, we should wait for Xmas, before we do new signings. Then it´s easier to what we actually need. I´m lookin forward to see if Reid can come to the level he were. The same with Dunn. We need those midfielders, I´m afraid Keith Andrews won´t be at the same level this year than last season. Nevertheless, I think it´s quite awesome to develep as second division player and walk straight in to highest level, and actually performe.

All the best Gally, this is a level u excel at, i hope you score plenty for the foxes. You have been a true & honourable gentleman for Rovers. Loyalty is a sparse comodity these days in football.
