Blades Look To Extend Bunn Loan

Sheffield United boss Kevin Blackwell will approach Blackburn with an offer to extend 3rd choice goalies loan deal - pending Paddy Kenny's drug ban.

Bunn is on a month's loan from Ewood Park as cover for the suspended Kenny and is enjoying a fine spell at Bramall Lane.

Couple that in with the fact that Paddy Kenny's hearing for drug misuse has been put back past the end of Bunnys' projected initial loan agreement and Blackwell is keen to talks extensions (No not of the hair variety).

Blackwell, talking to Sky Sports said - 'There is an option to keep him. We've got to wait for the outcome (of the hearing), knowing what the outcome will be is proving very tricky.

'We will have to go cap in hand to Big Sam and hope that Blackburn will let him stay for a bit longer.

'He has shown is a keeper of potential, he is bright about his box and we are delighted to have him. Hopefully if the situation is that we need to have him a bit longer we can.'

I personally see no harm in this as long as Browny is about Bunn won't even be on the bench at Ewood just yet so letting him extend his stay is a good move for us.

Furthermore, roughng him up in the league below will actually provide us with a better keeper in the long run as well.

From what I hear Bunn is playing really well for the Blades so I think we should let this continue.

Can't see any harm in this. We have Browny in reserve should Robbo get injured and the first team experience would do him good.

We may as well extend this loan deal, as who benefits by not doing this?? The only problem I see is the more regularly Bunn plays the more difficult it will be to come back to Rovers and not do so. I always wondered how a little goalkeeper like Paddy Kenny was so good, now I know LOL!!
