Rovers Transfer Rumblings Roundup

Another day, another rumour, however, the rumour mills have gone into overdrive today with Rovers being linked left, right & centre with players.

First up is the Angulo link, which has been given another angle after appointing new first team coach Steve Kean. Allardyce is hoping to use Kean's lingual skills to convince Angulo to sign.

Next is a new name on the list, Sunderland's Nyron Nosworthy. Apparently he wants to leave the Black Cats and Portsmouth, Stoke, Rovers and West Ham are thought to be showing an interest - whilst Aston Villa and Everton are both believed to have scouted him over pre-season. Pinch of salt there I think.

Another new name in the frame is Spartak Moscow midfielder Radoslav Kovac. Kovac played for West Ham the second half of last season on loan and now it seems that Rovers and the Hammers are in a 'race' to sign him.

Finally, an old name raises its head. Jerome Rothen. Rovers have apparently invited him over this coming weekend to tour the facilities. Major stumbling block here is that PSG still want a fee for the 31 year old.

In a couple of outgoings, Rovers reserves utility player, Alex Marrow has joined Oldham athletic on a one month loan and Tranmere have signed reserve defender Gavin Gunning on a one month loan deal.

Only one I would be interested in would Be Rothen and hes too old now really. we need some "off the radar" signings for the middle of the park and quickly IMO.

Reports on the net also indicate Hassan Yebda joining us from Benfica although Everton also appear to be interested.

With Sam, I dont believe we will ever be "done". we have 25 days of transfer window left yet!

Its great to hear that Alex Marrow has joined Oldham athletic on a one month loan and Tranmere have signed reserve defender Gavin Gunning on a one month loan deal as i feel these players could be one for the future espically Gunning who looks very promising :D x
Letsdothesamba
Hi lets do the Samba! Yes I think Gunning has been looking mature beyond his years so far as he was signed originally with much fan fare (if you remember guys and girls)?
Mikey D
Let see some facts on the tabel with all these new players. I would like to see Rothen though...cheers

Id love to see Yebda at the club but i seriously doubt this rumour is true, not with the likes of Inter & Arsenal after him and the price is no way near what you'd expect to pay for a player of his calibre.

never say never mutts!
BomBom
Yes mutts! that "never" has never got us anywhere ;)

I do believe that a creative spark is needed.....Gunning really is one to watch!!! He is very highly thought of amongst the youth football circuit!! United have been sniffin about but i think he will play for us maybe next season.....he has somethin most defenders lack n thats REAL pace....an excellent one for the future.

Gunning got capped for the Irish u17s at 14 years old, speaks volumes methinks.
