Rovers Complete Di Santo Signing

Blackburn Rovers have completed the signing of Chelsea striker Franco Di Santo on loan until January.

Di Santo has been a target for Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce since the start of the summer period, with the deal seemingly a mere formality for ages - but finally it has been signed sealed and delivered.

Allardyce was always keen but doubt remained whether Di Santo would be allowed to leave by new Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti.

But Di Santo is now on board and is a very welcome addition as a lot of our friends at Vital Chelsea thought that Franco shouldn't have been allowed to leave at all!

The 20-year-old will stay with Rovers until January at the very least, with the deal likely to be extended if he is not needed by Chelsea come that time.

Well done Sam!!! A great catch and Nikola Kalinic is on his way as his agent has confirmed all we are waiting on is his work permit.

Our striking options come Man City should look like this - Benni McCarthy, Jason Roberts, Franco Di Santo, Nikola Kalinic and Paul Gallagher.

MUCH BETTER!!!

Fantastic - now a creative midfielder and I am one happy dude!

Good news for all parties concerned. From a Chelsea perspective, I'm particularly pleased that we've got the opportunity to recall him in January, as I fear we might be a bit light on the ground during the ACoN. As long as Big Sam plays him, I think this could be a great move.

good moves but who is gonna be the starting 11 now? paul gallagher is lookin less likely 2 gt his '2nd chance'.... also who are our midfield starters? i think the back for is pretty solid as well as the number 1 spot!

I think there looks to be competition across the squad with the exception of Dunn. A fit Dunn is still first name on the team sheet given the lack of creativity in midfield. Also questions about where Warnock/Givet will be playing. One thing is for sure: one of Samba, Nelson, Givet and Warnock will not be starting in defence next season.

Great news!!! Just wondering where all this leaves Gally now. I was hoping he would get a shot....

This is brilliant!!!! I had given up on this deal going through.. fantastic addition to the squad. Gally is now lookin like surplus to requirement.

Gally can push for a striker spot and a right wing spot. God you guys are difficult to please!!! lol. We have spent months wanting new additions up front and now we have them we are worrying about who plays where! Its all about competition and we have that now.

The same source who told me bout Kalinic says that the club are more excited about Di Santo at this moment!!! The guy is thought to be absolute dynamite!!! Cant wait to see him!!!

Pop in a cross, he'll score. He's great with shooting from both feet too. Superb positioning, he's going to be an absolutel star!
