Di Santo At Ewood NOW For Talks

Chelsea striker Franco Di Santo is at Blackburn Rovers to discuss a season-long loan move today as the deal to take him to Ewood draws to a conclusion.

Rovers manager Sam Allardyce has been keen on the target man since the start of the window but was only given the green light by Chelsea recently to take the 20 year old on a temporary loan move.

Chelsea will view this as a good move for them as Di Santo probably won't be pushing Anelka or Drogba out of a starting spot this season and it is good for Rovers too as they are gagging for more firepower.

Di Santo on the other hand gets more games and a good season to learn more at the highest level.

Expect this deal to be done shortly.

Finally, a new striker! or so it seems.... good move for us if it all goes through.

Great young prospect. He's a top kid. He'll definitely get 10+ goals if given enough starts.
JT_daniel
Good luck to him, a great young talent.

Bear in mind, Kalinic's Dad has just been appointed manager of Split, it might be a story about him! and yes, im back!
BomBom
Hi bombom - no its the story regarding Nikola Kalinic (the player) :-) But yes, his dad has been appointed :-)

What a difference a few days make!! It will be great if Di Santo and Kalinic sign for us - Have checked Kalinic out on you tube and he seems very similar to Roque - not scared to put it about a bit either. Also rumours of Benjani still circulating - wouldn't it be great to get all three?
Wellsy
I cant see the Benjani deal, £5 million is a lot for someone who is essentially a scary looking Benni McCarthy. As for Kalinic and Di Santo thumbs up for btoh of them! :) welcome back Bommy!
Mikey D
I think Di Santo will do well for you lot. He's impressed everyone at Chelsea coming up through the ranks, but just hasn't been given enough opportunities, other than a five-minute cameo role here and there, to impress. I agree with JT_d - I think he could grab some important goals for you this season. Let's hope Allardyce plays him though, eh?

4 signings on one day! That's a lot but great, now we are ready to start. Exciting to see them at the against Hibernians on wednesday....cheers
