With YOUR help Vital Blackburn has been trying to determine what have been the best and worst of the Blackburn Rovers 2008-2009 season.
The nominations are still be taken for other Awards, but the Vital Blackburn Awards for 2008-2009 continue to be dished out with the ROVERSMAN VBER OF THE SEASON.
THE WINNER: Mikey D.
When asked to simply leave the name of the Vital Blackburn member you see as being the Member of the Season most felt sasman should be the Award Winner, so congratulations to sasman!
This is what people had to say on this category, which can also be viewed by clicking here.
Mikey D said: "Glen Mullan.
I have really enjoyed Glen's contribution to Vital Blackburn this year. He stepped in when Sunderland needed an article and he always gives his thoughts and is not afraid to speak his mind.
A proper VBer."
Money4midfield said: "Sasman's coverage has suffered from a considerable Aussie bias, clouding what has otherwise been an excellent season. ;)
Consequently, Mikey takes it for me, in terms of pure quantity and quality I don't think anyone has done more for the site this year. He also represented VB in print featuring in the Observer. Who could ask for more?"
BomBom said: "ONLY cos Sas got it last year am i going with Mikey. Has had some great articles and fab ideas this season.
Mikey D for me!"
glen9mullan said: "I think Mikey D wins this hands down, always top of the table and has had great interaction with the other clubs VBers and given some great articles this year,
a special mention too for retroflair who has contributed a lot in the short time he has been here, and has brought the motto to the table, 'back down the motorway with 3 points' classic
all in all though i think everyone deserves a great pat on the back for what has been a very controversial season with so many different opinions, making it a great year for the site/"
adrianbrfc said: "Mikey, great reports/articles and speaks sense especially in his little column in the guardian from time to time."
retroflair31 said: "lol cheers Glen. That famous line is of course quoted from the man who wins my vote- Mikey D.
EASY! EASY! EASY!"
Blue n Whitey said: "I'm going for Mikey D! he has been an ever present on this site! and all of his articles have been great to read!
This was close though, as glen did provide me with my new screen name! so a special mention goes in there for him!"
sasman said: "Hahahah darn it, guess I'm going to have to relinquish my 2 time crown, aye, credit where credit is due, the lad might be gay, but he posts some fantastic articles, Mikey, you get my vote brother! I'll take my crown back next year!!"
Durks said: "Yeah Mikey for me. I think he encompasses everything about VB and what a VBer should be. Fair play mate.
Glen also gets a mention as does Sasman cos you'd sometimes swear Rovers were an Aussie team."
FreidelNo.1 said: "It's got to be Mikey - kept us all going during the poor results, and had to put up with Oztheman etc!"
spinaker said: "Mikey D hands down! - is the heartbeat of this site... he's put in an unbelievable amount of effort in over the last 12months. Well done mate, I think giving you this award is the very least we can do!!"
