Worst Player Faced This Season

With YOUR help Vital Blackburn has been trying to determine what have been the best and worst of the Blackburn Rovers 2008-2009 season.

The nominations are still be taken for other Awards, but the Vital Blackburn Awards for 2008-2009 continue to be dished out with the WORST PLAYER TO FACE ROVERS THIS SEASON.

THE WINNER: Portsmouth's John Utaka.

When asked to simply leave the name of the player you believe has been the WORST Player to face Rovers this Season most felt Utaka should be the Award Winner, so congratulations go to Utaka for being the best worst player to face Rovers!!

This is what people had to say on this category, which can also be viewed by clicking here.

Money4midfield said: "The entire Newcastle defence.

... or maybe Alfonso Alves. Did he even play against us, I don't remember a single Boro attack so..?
"

adrianbrfc said: "He scored against us at home, McCarthy equalised in the last minute to spare our blushes. Unless my memory is worse than I thought.

Hard to pick anybody out really, but John Utaka was fairly poor when he came on against us at Ewood, and his pen was the worst I've seen in a while.

Mikey D said: "John Utaka.

For all that pace and for all that trickery - he's rubbish.

And that penalty was absolutely dreadful and I loved it!
"

Blue n Whitey said: "Hahaha john Utaka!!! lol.....that penalty was pants!"

FreidelNo.1 said: "I'll go with Utaka - it's a shame when our team made most other players look good this season!"

Marsmanic said: "Zaki or Utaka... Zaki, at Ewood, only saw him make one good pass all game and that was outside the area!"

Blue_Canoe said: "I have to go for Nicklas Bendtner - Rovers man of the match against Arsenal. Missed so many easy chances and kept the score down in single figures. Quality."

Thanks for voting on this, PLEASE KEEP your votes coming in for these other Awards, as there is STILL time to vote so click here for the list of categories and vote on the one(s) you want!

Next to be dished out will be the Award for the GOAL OF THE SEASON (AGAINST US!) So keep voting!!! (Click here.)

Championship Cost Per Goal So Far In 2016/17

The end of the Championship campaign of 2016/17 is only a month and a bit away from fans across the country but as we go in to the remaining weeks of the campaign...

Positive Signs For Bennett

Bennett was positive of Blackburn being able to see off Lancashire rivals Preston heading into this game at Ewood Park after the Norwich and Fulham results.

Minor Graham Setback

Blackburn had to do without Danny Graham against Preston following the groin problem that forced him off against Fulham last week. He could return against Brighton next week.

Hugely Frustrating

Mowbray admitted Blackburn didn't start the game well against Preston but had then been the dominant side so was 'majorly disappointed' not to record a victory.
