Best Player To Face Rovers This Season

With YOUR help Vital Blackburn has been trying to determine what have been the best and worst of the Blackburn Rovers 2008-2009 season.

The nominations are still be taken for other Awards, but the Vital Blackburn Awards for 2008-2009 continue to be dished out with the BEST PLAYER TO FACE ROVERS THIS SEASON.

THE WINNERS: Liverpool's Fernando Torres & Manchester United's Carlos Tevez

When asked to simply leave the name of the player you believed had been the BEST Player to face Rovers this Season most felt Torres and Tevez should be the Award Winners, so congratulations go to the Liverpool and former Man United strikers!!!

This is what people had to say on this category, which can also be viewed by clicking here.

glen9mullan said: "Valencia totally destroyed us at Wigan."

adrianbrfc said: "Fernando Torres at Anfield."

Mikey D said: "Gareth Barry.

His performance in the 2-0 defeat at Ewood for Villa was masterful.
"

Blue n Whitey said: "Tevez in the league cup! Come on, that is simple, he scored four goals against us, was unstoppable! unbelievable!"

sasman said: "The Spanish legend, Torres, tore us apart at Anfield."

Durks said: "Tevez for his four goals."

FreidelNo.1 said: "Arshavin at Emirates walked through our defence like it wasn't even there!"

marsmanic said: "Good call of Barry.. some of you will disagree with my choice, but Elano! At Ewood, although he didn't create any brilliant chances himself and was taken off early, but his ability to switch the emphasis of play was special. I can't actually believe that in January he was linked with Espanyol (then second bottom of Primera Division). He must have a stinking personality because i find his passing is special, rightly so he is now been linked with Inter. But yeh, some of his cross field passing was truly special and similar to a certain Mr Tugay."

spinaker said: "Elano is actually a good shout, he was absolutely deadly that night, none of our lads could handle him I'm gonna say Tevez tho for the 4 goals!!!"

Blue_Canoe said: "Torres, what a player, and no wonder Fergie wants to take him to ManU. If he'd been fit all season, Liverpool would have been champions."

Thanks for voting on this, PLEASE KEEP your votes coming in for these other Awards, as there is STILL time to vote so click here for the list of categories and vote on the one(s) you want!

Next to be dished out will be the Award for the WORST PLAYER TO FACE ROVERS THIS SEASON so keep voting!!! (Click here.)
