Worst Team Faced This Season

With YOUR help Vital Blackburn has been trying to determine what have been the best and worst of the Blackburn Rovers 2008-2009 season.

The nominations are still be taken for other Awards, but the Vital Blackburn Awards for 2008-2009 continue to be dished out with the WORST TEAM FACED BY ROVERS THIS SEASON.

THE WINNER: Newcastle United

When asked to simply leave the name of the team you believed had been the WORST Team faced by Rovers this season most felt Newcastle should be the Award Winner, so (unwanted) congratulations go to Newcastle for being the best worst team to face us!!!

This is what people had to say on this category, which can also be viewed by clicking here.

Money4midfield said: "Boro. They brought nothing to the table in either game. I felt a little sad to see them go down. Then i remembered the 0-0 game and I felt much better. So long."

BomBom said: "Newcastle. Team full of stars (apparently!) yet they were piss poor when we slapped them down at home."

glen9mullan said: "Newcastle without a doubt."

adrianbrfc said: "I thought Hull were the poorest. Especially at Ewood they survived on luck and adrenaline."

Mikey D said: "Newcastle.

For a team that gets paid so much they were so poor at Ewood - even Ince got a win against them!
"

Blue n Whitey said: "Definitely Newcastle! we even beat them under Ince! Haha."

sasman said: "The toon, hands down lol."

Durks said: "Newcastle."

spinnaker said: "Newcastle United - may they rest in peace!!!"

sasman said: "We actually did the double against the toon!! and Fulham wow lol."

Blue_Canoe said: "Newcastle without a doubt. Thank god we didn't get Shearer as manager - worse than Ince and I'll laugh if he takes them down to the first division next year."

Thanks for voting on this, PLEASE KEEP your votes coming in for these other Awards, as there is STILL time to vote so click here for the list of categories and vote on the one(s) you want!

Next to be dished out will be the Award for the BEST PLAYER TO FACE ROVERS THIS SEASON so keep voting!!! (Click here.)

I'm surprised our 'performance' against you at Goodison on the first game of the season wasn't mentioned, along with the 3-0 home defeat to Pompey the following week easily our worst 2 performances of the season. And we we arguably worse against your lot, pathetic doesn't even begin to sum us up. It's nearly a year ago now those 2 games, but they still ***** me off to think about them.

I personally feel it will be a while before they get promoted again too!

It's quite sad really when you think that not many teams were worse compared to us!
