Rovers' LIVE Sky Sports And ESPN Matches

Blackburn Rovers will have four matches broadcast LIVE on Sky Sports and ESPN in the first four months of the 2009-2010 season.

As ALWAYS it is the Big Four that dominate the selection of matches for Television with both Sky Sports and ESPN in the opening 48 LIVE matches revealed (31 for Sky Sports and 17 for ESPN) for the new season with Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United ALL featured in the opening weekend of the 2009-2010 season!!

Sky Sports will be showing three Rovers matches, nothing in August or September but two matches in October. Away to Arsenal on Sunday the 4th (13:30) and the MASSIVE Lancashire derby against Burnley at Ewood Park on Sunday the 18th (13.00). Another Lancashire derby is shown on Sunday the 22nd of November when Rovers travel to the Reebok Stadium to face Bolton Wanderers (13:30).

ESPN is only showing one Rovers match as part of their opening selection of matches. However, we against see nothing of Rovers in August or September and have to wait until October for the match against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday the 24th of October (17:15).

Is this the lowest number of games we've had in any season?

This will be just the start of the season. The TV companies get to plan the rest later.

This will only be up till November. The rest of the schedule comes out later in the year. Some tough games we have on TV! that derby will be EPIC though.
