Fulham Make Andrews Approach

Fulham have made an official move to sign Rovers midfielder Keith Andrews.

The size of the bid has not been disclosed but it is believed to be about the £3 million mark.

The Irishman was signed by Paul Ince and is a symbol of his shockingly bad reign at the helm but since current boss Sam Allardyce was appointed he has actually turned into a very competent, versatile squad player that Sam likes to use.

Andrews was also the highest scoring midfielder in the Rovers midfield with four goals last season (yes, yes I know).

However to attract interest from a rival team does show the progress Keith has made.

If as speculated, the bid is £3.5 million as rumoured by our very own, quick off the mark Glen Mullan, then Sam made it hard to turn down.

I am torn on this one. I like Keith and rate him highly as a squad player but is the bid big enough to accept?

sam has got midfield targets and although a striker is priority he still wants to bring at least 2 central midfielders to the club to fill the voids left by axe and tuguy, the sale of andrews will give us the funds to put towards aquiring these players, and i think it makes perfect sense to cash in on him for a great bit of business
