Player Most Missed This Season

With YOUR help Vital Blackburn has been trying to determine what have been the best and worst of the Blackburn Rovers 2008-2009 season.

The nominations are still be taken for other Awards, but the Vital Blackburn Awards for 2008-2009 continue to be dished out with the MIKEYGAMST AWARD FOR THE PLAYER MOST MISSED THIS SEASON.

THE WINNER: David Bentley.

When asked to simply leave the name of the player you felt has been MOST missed this Season (maybe injured or sold) most felt Bentley, who was sold to Tottenham Hotspur, should be the Award Winner! So congratulations to Bents, who proved our biggest miss!!!

Money4midfield said: "David Bentley. He may be a prat. And he may be a flop at Spuds. But how much would our midfield have benefited from his creative spark this year?!"

BomBom said: "Unfortunately, we did miss DB's creativity and we haven't really replaced his passes, crossing or creative spark.

Hate to say it but its Bents for me.

Kudos to Robbo for not making us miss the other Leg in Friedel. Hasn't been missed as much as I thought we would miss him."

glen9mullan said: "Bentley, how i wish we could sign him back for a cut price deal, his quality is the biggest ingredient he brings to a team and we have lacked an abundance of that this year."

adrianbrfc said: "David Bentley, his creative spark has left us with the bland side to side or pass to the opposition style of Keith Andrews and Vince Grella sadly.

Mind you I think Andrews was done his best, but I expected Grella to deliver much more."

Mikey D said: "He started like a house on fire and then kept on getting injured (as usual). Could of single handedly dragged us out of danger if he could stay fit."
