Big Sam - 'We Don't Need To Sell Anybody Else'

Big Sam has called an end to the selling this summer as the sales of Matt Derbyshire (Still not happy about this) and Roque Santa Cruz (couldn't be happier about this) have been completed.

But Sam will only be allowed to buy up to a certian point as per the instructions of the famously prudent Blackburn board.

However he can ask to buy another player even if the club are at first opposed to spending anymore.

Allardyce speaking to the offical website said - 'We don't need to sell anybody else now, We've put the financial side right and I've got some funds to spend.

'I won't be able to sign as much as I can get, though. It will stop somewhere along the line. But for me I will never stop asking for football players, even though the club or John (Williams) might say that's it.

'If a better player comes along, I will try to persuade the club to get him in.

'Sometimes you can do your business and all of a sudden something appears that you never expected to appear. Then I've got to try to convince the club that it's the right thing to do, even if it means going above what they expected or wanted to do, because this player would be so good for Blackburn.

'If that means trading again, I would have to look at that option."

I must say I impressed that this summer both Sam Allardyce and John Williams have been super transparent with the plans and the financial side of Rovers.

They have explained everything in lamens terms for the fans to understand and I am sure the fans respect this.

Keep it up.

The way he speaks indicates he might do a little more spending than I personally first thought. Or maybe I am reading too much into this?!?!
