Best Rovers Performance Of The Season

With YOUR help Vital Blackburn has been trying to determine what have been the best and worst of the Blackburn Rovers 2008-2009 season.

The nominations are still be taken for other Awards, but the Vital Blackburn Awards for 2008-2009 continue to be dished out with the BEST ROVERS PERFORMANCE OF THE SEASON.

THE WINNER: Against Fulham at Craven Cottage.

When asked to simply leave the name of the opponent against whom you feel saw Rovers give their Best Performance of the Season most felt the match away against Fulham should be the Award Winner.

This is what people had to say on this category, which can also be viewed by clicking here.

retroflair31 said: "In terms of importance and difficulty, I thought our 2-1 away victory at Fulham was the best performance of the season. This was the performance that proved we were good enough to stay up, against a team that will next year be seeing European football. A quality performance where the team pulled together and showed what this club is all about.

Also an honourable mention to the 1-2 away loss to Man U. We fought beautifully that day.
"

Mikey D said: "Hull 1-2 Blackburn.

I am gonna have to go with this tide turner. We were 5 points behind Hull and if we had lost we would of been 8 points behind. Win and we were 2 points behind.

This was a massive bust through the physiological barrier.

Great atmosphere and an even better result.

Money4midfield said: "Fulham away. Few teams, including all the top 6 managed points at Craven Cottage this season. A stunning result and one which showed the team that they had the quality to stay up."

glen9mullan said: "Fulham away for me too, Fulham had an awesome season and they were 3 very very big points."

adrianbrfc said: "Fulham away."

Blue n Whitey said: "I'm torn between Man United away and Fulham away! But simply because we won, and i was there, lol.... I'm gonna go for Fulham away, aided by the amazing support of the fans that day, especially me!

so......... do i win an award for helping rovers to produce their best performance of the season? Lol.
"

FreidelNo.1 said: "First game against Everton - twists and turns, good goals and excitement - afterwards I thought we'd easily qualify for Europe..."

JuanFranDeLaHuego said: "Second half against Bolton at home showed how much it meant to (some of) the players but I vote Fulham away because of what it meant."

Blue_Canoe said: "First game against Everton was excellent and unfortunately the high point of the season. The display against City was also great if you take away the last 2 minutes, and away against Fulham also excellent. But for me the performance of the season had to be against ManU away. The Champions, hadn't conceded a goal in about 6 years, and we were unlucky to walk off the pitch as losers. And Nelson was so unlucky that he couldn't say his first goal was the winner against ManU!"

Thanks for voting on this, PLEASE KEEP your votes coming in for these other Awards, as there is STILL time to vote so click here for the list of categories and vote on the one(s) you want!

Next to be dished out will be the Award for the SAVE OF THE SEASON so keep voting!!! (Click here.)

A great win this was - the second half of the season bore the most spirited performance and anyone of Hull away, Everton away, Man away and the winner could of taken home the honours.
Mikey D
Quite true, though it was an easier choice than "worst game" this time round!
Money4midfield
We're now moving into more "positive" territory, which is what I like.
