Player Least Missed This Season

Player Least Missed This Season

With YOUR help Vital Blackburn has been trying to determine what have been the best and worst of the Blackburn Rovers 2008-2009 season.

The nominations are still be taken for other Awards, but the Vital Blackburn Awards for 2007-2008 continue to be dished out with the PLAYER LEAST MISSED THIS SEASON.

THE WINNERS: Robbie Fowler & Maceo Rigters.

When asked to simply leave the name of the player you felt has been missed this LEAST this Season (injured or sold) most felt Fowler & Rigters should be the Award Winners! So congratulations I suppose go to the English and Dutch "strikers"!!!

This is what people had to say on this category, which can also be viewed by clicking here.

Money4midfield said: "Did anyone actually leave apart from Bents and Brad? Vogel, when he eventually left was certainly not missed since we hardly saw him."

BomBom said: "Blobby Fowler. Hard to believe he was in our squad at all this season.

While I remember, Stephen Reid, hardly missed him either, time for us to cut him loose!
"

glen9mullan said: "Dunno I think the ones that didn't play were all missed for one reason or another."

Mikey D said: "Bruno Berner.

He moved to Leicester and was fairly average for a Championship side. Says it all I am afraid.
"

retroflair31 said: "I'll throw in a vote for Vogel."

Blue n Whitey said: "Maceo Rigters! what a buy that turned out to be! Hahaha"

Money4midfield said: "Ahh, I have it! Rigters! What the hell has happened to him?!"

sasman said: "Berner, or can we give it to Henchoz, please? Lol."

Durks said: "My there are a lot of choices here, but I think Rigters gets it as he contributed nothing while he was here so we had nothing to miss."

FreidelNo.1 said: "Robbie Fowler - what was the point?"

marsmanic said: "Treacy second half of the season, of the home games he played (that i could see due to Season Ticket) his first touch and dribbling were extremely poor, the off form Pedersen playing every game following meant that i did not miss Treacy what-so-ever."

spinnaker said: "Robbie Fowler!!!! Worst striker I've ever seen play for us & I include Frannie Jeffers on that list!!"

Thanks for voting on this, PLEASE KEEP your votes coming in for these other Awards, as there is STILL time to vote so click here for the list of categories and vote on the one(s) you want!

Next to be dished out will be the Award for the BEST ROVERS PERFORMANCE OF THE SEASON so keep voting!!! (Click here.)

Double trouble!!!! I think we can say the majority voted the right way here - difficult to split the two!

Robbie was a great player ten and more years ago. You can't blame him for his lack of impact. You shouldn't have bought him. I'm surprised Allardyce isn't planning to bring him back.

it could have been any of those mentioned above - hopefull we'll be able to say Roque as player missed least soon lol depending on who we get ( although he did do a job for Rovers ) But im surprised Vogel didnt get more votes - - he came with a glowing reputation, though it was diming slightly but none the less things were expected and for some reason or another he absolutly failed to deliver.... Can we do 'Manager missed least' next?? there's a shoe in for that one lol
