Jacobsen Explains Rovers Switch

Jacobsen Explains Rovers Switch

Blackburn`s newest signing, Lars Jacobsen, has spoken about his move and is happy to have a bit of extra stability that Everton weren't willing to offer.

The Danish international, who has been transfered around a lot during his career wants to now settle down, in the same way a chauvanistic play boy (picture Sasman) would after years of fooling around. (cheapshot!)

Don't believe me? Listen to the man himself.

Jacobsen tols TV2 Sporten - 'My wish was to get something stabile, and Everton wanted to give me a one-year contract. I didn't really find that interesting,'

'I have changed clubs a little too many times the last two years, and I really want more stabilization in my life.

'I felt that I could get that at Blackburn, and a two-year contract fits me really good.'

I think we have timed this well. Jacobsen is a good player but due to his injuries he has been able to be bought at a lot lower price than his ability dictates.

Now for that striker....

I think its fairly obvious he chose us over everton as he was guaranteed the extra season with us but if that is what it takes...

he has got his extra yr and almost a nailed on spot in the squad, which means that Emerton can out pressure on the rite side of midfield and in the centre....all's good so far....

Let's just hope he stays fit. If he does, I think we've got ourselves a bargain!

Why wouldnt he stay fit??? He had a dislocated shoulder for **** sake, its not a cruciate or anything bad, football wise, im sure the 6 or so months he had out at Everton this will be almost as good as new.....

Well a bad fall could knock it out again - but it may never happen again. So, we'll just have to wait and see. If we only bought players who had never been injured we wouldn't have had Bellamy, Roque, Dunn, Warnock - to name but a few. All players suffer an injury of some sort at least once in their career - unless you're Gary Speed!
