Who Do You Want To See Rovers Buy And Why?

It's a good idea scottrover, maybe this could be a forum thread like the VBer Premier League XI and then it spills over as articles perhaps?!?!

Assuming we don't lose any more I reckon we need 3-4 more players. Would like to see Janko (Red Bull) & Berg (Swedish U21) come in, probably be around £10m combined. Benni & JR aren't getting any younger and these guys are under 25 and good. Would also like to see a new CM, maybe Delph (Leeds) £4m and a bit of pace on the wing. Sanchez (Udinese) but his price has gone up quite a lot or Pedro Leon (Valladolid)...not cheap but our team has looked very slow over the last few years, people defend from the 1/2 way line cause we can't outpace centre backs! Egyptian Al Muhammadi (RB or RM) looked good in Confed Cup and has been on trial with us, under Ince reign of terror.

At the moment I would just settle for someone who can put the ball in the net!! I see the times have suggested that Benni is now up for sale - at this rate we'll be starting with Andrews up front!!

i would honestly settle if we sign a few random players, and 1 proven player in gudjohnsen. We really missed Brett and he should be ready for seasons start, and dunny and reid, well who knows. Surely Sam can sign some back up in central defence, and a rightback

i would love to see Michael Bradley at Rovers, him and Grella would be good together and he has shown he can work against some of the best players in a weak, but hard working team!!! Fernandez at Villareal would be brilliant on the left, though i would love to see John Fleck from Rangers, he's going to be a star and Rangers are skint, Civelli from Marseille can play at rite/centreback, can Emerton out and would be good buy, Gudjohnsen for me is a must for Rovers, vision, goals etc I think we need a decent enough back up keeper, to keep pushing Robinson, someone like - Fielding being promoted or buying in Hart, though i doubt he'd be back up to anyone..Givet is coming in so left/centreback is covered..have to see this wee South African play for the rite, though we have been linked to this Egyptian lad, though i would love to see Kightley, though Wolves would never sell now there up!! I would get rid of Benni as well, he has never played well since he wasnt the star man...this Swedish u21 lad looks good as too does Cardoza...I wish more of the players were british but hey, they cost silly money...

robinson emerton nelsen samba givet warnock pedersen grella arda owen crouch id buy arda turan for about 5 million crouch for 8 million plus add ons and owen id play a 3-5-2 with emerton and warnock as wingbacks grella sitting in front of defence with arda and pedersen playing in lampard type roles, id also look at maybe fetching someone like scoles in too

I'd like to see Aron Gunnarsson get a run out there with the boys. He was a terror against us in both FA Cup matches against Coventry City. He's young and fiesty, showed pace and touch, and I think he can play both right wing (4-4-2) and attacking mid (4-5-1). I've yet to hear his name bandied about so I would assume we could steal him for 1-2M.
