Cruz Completes City Move

Manchester City have completed the signing of striker Roque Santa Cruz from Rovers.

The deal, believed to be in the region of 17m, concludes a tedious saga of will he won't he and now both sides can crack on.

Roque has made no bones about wanting to move for a while now and Rovers have been waiting for the right moment to let him go and for the right amount.

I wish Roque all the best at City, just don't expect a good reception at Ewood on the first game of next season - you're lies and deception will not stand you in good standing at Rovers.

He was great for a season but he has actually been a hinderence this last season in hindsight. A good deal for all parties.

I'm just glad this is finally done, it's been annoying us for soooo long now!!! Thanks for what you did RSC but you could've conducted yourself better than you did and I'd personally blame you for a large amount of the distraction last season. I wonder if you'll find out like so many others that decide a move away from Ewood Park is best for them that it's actually not?!?! Good business by Rovers though.

That's a great fee and you could buy 3 or 4 decent players to improve the side with it. The best thing about selling to city is you'll get the money in one go, whilst other clubs would have had to pay it over a certain amount of years, with clauses etc.

well at least the drama is over now...we can concentrate on improving the squad now, everybody is replacable, its a shame to see him go and especailly in the way he went on ( may only be paper talk though ) about leaving and everyone knows its only City for the money, cool if they break the strangle hold on the Top 4 but it will be at least 1 or 2 yrs yet....

Roque, Tevez, Robinho - where does that leave Bellamy? Bet he's not too happy... Good luck Roque, thanks for the goals - I hope you don't score any against us next season

I actually forgot about Bellamy lol but im sure the good player that he is, he'll force his way into the team - - God im smiling even writing this ha ha..... God Hughes does just buy his old players doesnt he?? Craig aint got a hope getting into that team, i read an article ages ago, meant to be quoted from Craig, that he would stay at City to clean the players boots - Craig my son, get the chamiox ready lol But again at least we can concentrate on getting in the players to Rovers that will make us a decent team again..which we are not too far away from...lets hope that Roque does get some success at City, its not as if everyone that leaves Rovers for bigger and better things ( wages ) does ie: Bellamy, Bentley, Neill etc HA HA HA
