Andrews In Demand?

Blackburn Rovers midfielder Keith Andrews is understood to be the target of two other Premier League sides.

The 28-year-old had a good (even if it wasn't exceptional) debut season with Rovers and this is understood to have left Sam Allardyce keen for him to sign a contract extension (which still has two-years left on it) and determined to hold onto Andrews with the midfielder understood to be a target for both Birmingham City and Fulham.

£2 million for the Republic of Ireland International wouldn't be a bad price but personally I think that keeping him at Ewood Park would be a better option as Andrews can offer us something even if he doesn't have the exceptional quality that others might.

Got a lot of stick first season, but I thought he looked like a decent player. Hopefully he'll have benefitted from his first full season in the PL and with a full pre-season will be even better next year

Id rather sell andrews for 3m, and sign chriss brunt for 4m :)
rover23
i agree lets sell him, but doubt if he will leave this summer

He's a good squad / utility player - committed and able to cover several positions but is he the cutting edge we need at Rovers? The million dollar question is whether he would make a bigger impact next season now that he's settled in the Premiership? I'd be tempted to take the money and swell the funds for more accomplished midfielders.
YORK ROVER
Definitely take the money if that is what is really what is on offer.

Keep him. He covers more than one position, has proved himself and adds a steadying influence to the squad. Yes he sint spectacular but then not everyone is! If Trappatoni rates him then that must tell you something.... This to me on the whole though seems like an attempt by his agent to get Andrews a new deal.
Mikey D
Keep him - our highest scoring midfielder last season... only 3 goals but better than the rest. Also, now that Ince has gone he needs all the 'friends' he can get... ha-ha!

Arrrrgggghhhhh... flashback FN1!!!!
Mikey D
I agree. Keep him. He gives 100% and is the utility player we don't otherwise have.
Money4midfield
DEF keep Andrews - he did more for Rovers in 6mths than a lot of our other midfielders did in the whole season, for one reason or another... he can play a couple of positions and more importantly is willing too without whinging!!! He has ability, maybe not a 'BIG' name player but a very handy one for a team like Rovers to have....
Clint
He didnt moan about the (totally unfair) flack he was getting. He just got out there and played an proved his point. I have respect for that sort of thing.
Mikey D
Yep - he put his head down and worked hard to gain respect, what footballers should do - let their football do the talking.
