'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Enough Already (However, It's WAY To Late!!!)

Blackburn Rovers striker Roque Santa Cruz can't leave Ewood Park until a clause is reach in his contract so he's looking like he might have to see out his contract with Rovers.

Boo hoo!!! The 27-year-old signed a contract to play for Blackburn Rovers Football Club, if Manchester City (or anyone else) can't match the release clause (understood to be £20 million) then it's tough isn't it really!!! The Paraguayan International CHOSE to sign a contract with an apparent clause in it's his fault if it can't be meet and if it CAN'T be meet then stop crying about it already and get on with what you have to do.

Santa Cruz was understood to have said this on Thursday: "A signed document stipulates that there is a lot of money to pay to take me away from Blackburn.

"If they don't want to sell me, then I must complete my contract and continue with them. I am under contract until 2012.
"

However, if Man City have offered £17 million, as is understood or even £15 million let's just take the money and let him leave as it's still a superb offer. What's the point of having someone skulk around Ewood for the next three-years if they don't want to be here?!?!

Maybe we will have yet more drama in the soap opera to run as the Daily Mail today understands (in an exclusive) that a fee with Man City has FINALLY been agreed with Rovers for the striker??? If it really has let's get it done already!!!

If Man City have all this money - lets see some of it - - get our players in b4 the pre-season friendlies start, get a stable team together for the 09-10 season......
Clint
good call Clintos!!!! Lets get as much as we can from em!

I just want him out largely because we need the funds to re-build. He is a world-class striker but right now we need to bring in midfield and new strikers so the money is more important than him i feel. I would take the reported £18m in sec.

I hope we actually spend some of it this year - we barely touched the £15m we got from offloading Bentley
Money4midfield
Escape clauses only really have any meaning if the player is worth more than that level. You Rovers will be glad to get at the £15M -- but that is conditional on the medical of course
