Jansen Hooking Up With Flitcroft At Leigh

Ex-Blackburn Rovers striker Matt Jansen is launching his coaching career with a little help from his friend.

Jansen has reportedly turned down a host of clubs to hook up with Gary Flitcroft, who is manager of Leigh Genesis who play in the Unibond League.

Flitcroft is manager there and has offered Jansen the chance to coach there and pass on the wisdom that helped him bang in the goals for Rovers back in the day.

Jansen, speaking to Sky Sports said - 'I want to get to the next chapter in my life.'

Good on you Matty, maybe we could see you at Rovers in some role in the future?

Leigh Genesis have really got a good signing there, i think he will do really well for them.

It will be interesting to see how he develops there. He has a calm nature which I imagine will lend itself to coaching - much like Scott Sellars has.

Lovely to see him getting on with his life really.

Coaching is something that Matty has previously said he wanted to do and now he has his chance, good luck. His quality on the pitch will help as well.

its good to see things turn for Matty...since the injury he hasnt had the best of times, so im hoping this works out for him...
Clint
I think the pressure will be off for him now so I am sure we will see a good fist of this from Jansen.
