Bents On The Move Again?

Bents On The Move Again?

Former Blackburn Rovers midfielder David Bentley is understood to be set for another transfer this summer with the Tottenham Hotspur man close to a move to Aston Villa???

Bentley has told the media that he's in talks with Aston Villa and the England International hopes to complete his move to Villa Park as soon as possible.

Bentley told the Sun: "I'm in talks with Villa at the moment.

"I really don't want to say much more. But we'll see what happens. I'm hopeful of sorting it out as soon as possible.
"

Rovers might have struggled last season but not as much as Bents did!!! The midfielder might have joined the club that he supported as a boy (which is RUBBISH) but he found out (like so many others) that leaving Ewood Park for glory doesn't always bring this and all it brought the former Arsenal man was a season of misery.

A move to Villa Park should rejuvenate his career but Bents has really fallen behind in the England selection process and would have to have an exceptional season to force his way back into Fabio Capello's plans if he wants to go to South Africa with England at next summers World Cup Finals.

lol Walker... that £15 million seems like robbery now!!! This could be a good move for David - he would get a good man manager and would give him a fresh start,

Bentley is a good player....brilliant at times but unfortunately glimpses of greatness is not good enough when u have top class players like Modric and Lennon breathing down ur neck. He was ok for us because we had nothing behind him in the squad that wa capable o taking his place in the team....Hence there were matches where he was absolutley bobbins for 85 minutes, then would score a wonder free kick n the next day be all over the papers that he'd had a wonder game!!!! Problem is that u dont make it to the 85th minute when ur playin badly for a better team!!! I aint puttin us down, this is fact!!!
