Ince Wants To Return To Management This Summer

Paul Ince has put some feelers out about returning to management and is looking for more financial backing than he received during his ill-fated spell at Rovers.

The Rovers failure, who has been out of a job since being sacked at Rovers management, wants to take advantage of the current managerial merry go round.

Ince arrived at Blackburn as a highly promising manager with potential but no experience at the top level. But it was a step too far too soon as Rovers were nailed on for relegation under his stewardship.

However, rathering amazingly, he believes lack of funds hindered his ability to shine at Blackburn and in the future only wants to join a club where he will be given the backing to succeed.

Ince, speaking to Sky Sports said - 'I hope there's a good job on the horizon,'

'I want to go to a team where I can have the finances to build - I didn't have that at Blackburn.'

Now I do want Paul to succeed at whatever he does in the future but lets be straight here. It wasn't the lack of money that cost Ince his job, it was his training methods, his lack of nous in the transfer market and his man management.

He can't blame the lack of funds as Allardyce and Hughes have both been able to make the most of wht they have at Rovers and there is one reason why the passed the test where Ince failed...

Because they are good managers.

good god, Ince certainly still has that healthy ego in tact.

He could have had an 100m war chest an he'd have still bought Keith Andrews. I'm sure Man City will be giving the call soon Paul!

To be fair Keith was actually a solid signing as was Robinson and Grella but players such as Villanueva, Fowler and Danny Simpson will be the players he will be remembered for - you are onyl as good as your worst signing in the media.

This is very short-sighted of Ince - he was given a good deal of money by the board and had a successful squad already in place

Sounds like sour grapes to me...

It's nonsense. Paul Ince knew that Rovers were not awash with spare cash - any prospective manager knows that. He inherited a team that finished 7th under Mark Hughes (minus Bentley and Friedel) - so lack of money is not an excuse for floundering at the bottom. Like all up and coming managers, he'll have to take what he can get and prove himself before he can expect any club to make sizable funds available. In his defence though, his appointment was well into the close season and he had to spend valuable time rebuilding the backroom staff - so maybe it was a bit of an uphill struggle to get everything right before the season started.

you guys said it all. what ince said was outrageous. who in the right mind would give him money to spend?

I love the fact that Ince is deluded on this subject, he didnt get the funds to do wot exactly?? He had a good squad there, as Sam now says it just needs a bit of adding too, so wot eactly did Ince need?? he bought lower league players and with the exception of Andrews ( in my opinion ) they have all not done anything, Bunn/Simpson/Fowler for example!!! Ince failed simple, he's never going to get to a club with finances, thats top 4 to 6 and they all have managers with reconized success!! if he couldnt do it at Rovers, one of the best run teams in the league, with a decent a decent squad then im sorry he should stick to the lower leagues, where he can still use the 'no money' excuse everytime he gets found out!!!!! Ince came into the club with that bravado he had as player but he found himself totally out of his depth, name another club that 2 of each member of the back room staff to aid the manager - Roverrs did all they could but at the end of the day, HE JUST WASN'T GOOD ENOUGH

Agree 100% with that Clint.
