Rovers Back In For The Masked Man?

Blackburn have revived their interest in Marco Zoro as Rovers look to add steel to their defence and replace the rumoured to be outgoing Zurab Khizanishvilli.

The Ivory Coast international was close to moving to Ewood Park in January before Benfica, at the last minute, decided to hawk up the price - costing Zoro the move he was after.

But Zoro, says he is now free to leave Portugal.

Zoro, speaking in Portugal said - 'I've decided not to return to Benfica and want to be transferred, I'm studying offers from England, Italy and France and will decide on my future in the next few days.'

This move seems to be up and running around about the same time as loyal defender Zurab Khizanishvilli looks to be leaving us for Galatasaray.

Maybe a like for like swap is on the cards but Sam may have this one right as Marco is only 25 years of age!

Fair play here to Sam, I cant say I know a load about this man apart from what we learned in January but this one seems to be gathering pace.

Yet again you've done it to me Mr Mikey, I wrote something about this to add before work decided to get ready and eat then add and run and you've beaten me to it!!! I suppose I'll just have to sample something that I wrote again lol!
Walker
It's not entirely known how interested Big Sam was in the Ivory Coast International and it's also unknown if Rovers are actually interested in Zoro again now. If Big Sam was genuinely interested in the Ivorian it will all depend on how much Benfica are asking for him now.
Walker
lol walker you need to stop eating and drinking so much!!! And I believe he would be allowed to leave for next to nothing - if what he says is true?
Mikey D
Can Zoro play full back? if not I don't think he is worthwhile really if we get Givet in.
roverjoy
Zorro is a right back primarily and from what i have heard, he is more than likely to be a pre season trialist than a signing at the moment.
BomBom
Well apart form being African and departing for the Nations Cup he looks the part...he may have fallen out of favour at Benfica but that doesnt make you a bad player - look at Givet!
Clint
I cant believe there is someone better than Givet in his position... thank god for the "out of favour" player - how much money have we saved with this type of player over the years?
Mikey D
Quite rite, aside from Givet, I near enough sure we have done the 'out of favour' players well - Benni, Samba, Roque, Friedel to name but a few......
Clint
It was the same with Samba as I remember, he wasn't played the first team in Hertha Berlin. So in that view this looks intereresting. Cheers
riisenholt
I remember the Samba story well - he was on trial and Hughes wasnt even watching him until 3 scouts were shouting him over to come watch - the rest is history as they say...
