French Youngster On Sam's List???

Blackburn Rovers are understood to be the latest club to show an interest in highly-rated midfielder Steven N'Zonzi.

The 20-year-old French Youth International is highly rated back in France (given the name "the new Vieira") but is expected to leave Amiens this summer and a move to the Premier League is being touted with Sam Allardyce understood to be very interested in landing the £400,000 rated midfielder.

N'Zonzi had been linked with Newcastle United and West Ham United last summer and was last month reportedly interesting Portsmouth. I personally don't know anything about the dude but being compared to Patrick Vieira can't be a bad thing can it? However, many players are compared to great players and not all of them (few in fact) live up to this billing.

There isn't a lot of money for Allardyce to spend this summer, however, I'd think that N'Zonzi would (despite my lack of knowledge on him) be worth a go at £400,000?!?!

I might be being skeptical but for £400k I wouldn't have thought this guy woould be the next viera! On the other hand, we can't forget that sometimes the cheapest players are the best signings - the name freidel rings a bell.

Maybe if we buy him this summer we will put a £1 million get out clause in his contract, he'll have a fantastic season with us, and then Arsenal can buy themselves a 'new Viera' to replace their old one! If not, then at least Spurs might be interested.....

for only £400,000 sure its worth a punt....rememeber Viera didnt arrive at Arsenal for much more back in the day....

Definitely for that sort of money but I am always sceptical of players labelled "The new insert name here". He sounds pretty good, anyone know anything about him?

I'd agree with that dude, how many times are players labelled something that they'll never live up to or never do, however, who knows maybe N'Zonzi could be the exception? For £400,000 I don't really think we have a lot to lose do we?

if he is as good as he sounds hell no!!!
