Hughes Wants Fans Back

Hughes believes the vast improvement in Blackburn's form should bring the fans back to Ewood Park.

Although the attendences for many premiership clubs have shown a downward trend this season, the gate of only 17,691 for the 4-1 win over Charlton on Saturday was 10 000 fans down on the same fixture last year.

Hughes said, in an interview with the Lancashire Evening Telegraph: "It's important we keep winning at home, especially as we are going into a period of games against the so-called bigger teams. I hope everyone has enjoyed the home performances up to this point and maybe we'll get a few more through the door. It's important that we play well at Ewood then, hopefully, through word of mouth, people will want to come and see us play."

Adding about the 4-1 mauling of the Addicks: "I think everyone who was there really enjoyed themselves." Hmmm, possibly not the Charlton fans!!

Blackburn Rovers fans have bought the full 1700 ticket allocation for the league game against Manchester City at the City of Manchester Stadium on the 19th November.

Tickets for our home game against West Ham United on 10th December go on sale from Monday (21/11/05).

Tickets for our visit to Highbury on 26th November are now on general sale.

The away tie in the 4th round of the Carling Cup against Charlton Athletic - 30th November, kick off 8pm - will be on sale to season ticket holders from Monday 14th Novemeber, with one ticket per holder. Tickets will then go on sale to members from Friday 18th November. Blackburn's allocation is 1500 tickets, should any remain, they will go on general sale from Monday 21st November.
