'If It's Football, It's Vital'

J-Rob Thinks Rovers Are Losing Out On Tugay

Blackburn Rovers striker Jason Roberts is not best pleased at Tugay's announcement to Turkish media this week that he was about to become a coach at Manchester City, which is not confirmed but is pretty much true as Tugay is one of the games' few honest people.

Roberts feels the Turk's magic and experience would be of great benefit to the Rovers cause.

Roberts, speaking to the LET said - "I`ve heard the rumours about Tugay going to Manchester City,'

'It would be a shame if Tugay wasn`t doing something in the game, but, at the same time, I think we might have missed a trick losing Tugay and letting him go to a rival.
'He`s been a great player for Blackburn and the main thing is that football retains a man of his talents. If he can go on and get a job with City, it will be great for him. He has his eye on coaching so good luck to him but, speaking as a Blackburn player, I think we might have missed a trick.

'I`d have liked to have seen him stay on in some capacity. I think if you asked anyone at the club, they would have loved to have kept Tugay around the place. He was a special player and also a great guy. We`ll definitely miss him.'

Whilst it is true that Rovers could use Tugay I cant see Sam breaking his stance on having fully qualified staff in his backroom team.

Tugay will be back at Ewood one day, that is more or less a certainty but only when the time is right in my eyes.

It will be interesting to see if this does work out but I believe we will always be Tugays first choice.

Its very sad that Tugay is not with us anymore BUT, he is going to the richest club in the world, learning from a quality manager. The next time we see Tugay, it will be to take over from Big Sam. Do not despair, the Maestro will return to lead us to silverware!

He'll probably be coaching the cheerleaders. I wouldn't get too wound up about it.

hell yea, we're missing him already.

I can't see Tugay really coaching at Citeh - can you?

i agree with Sam, sentiment aside no-one employs anyone that isnt qualified to do the job, i know coaching can be seen as different but im sure there is more to it than meets the eye.....after all why arent all ex-footballers doing it?!?!? Once he is qualified he'll come back......simples!!
Clint
cheerleaders? so he'll be in charge of Elano and Robinho then?
