More Info On First Rovers Signing

According to the mail online, Blackburn Rovers has signed Elrio van Heerden on a free transfer from Bruges.

He has reportedly snubbed other European clubs for us. In the same league as Piennar and was voted South Africas best player of the African Nations cup team!!

Sounds good to me and I rate Piennar so this could be a real coup if official! Sounds it though!

it sounds like he's exactly the kind of player we need and he's free. good start!

A freebie so reduces the gamble and if he is at all like Pienaar I'll be happy as I've been hoping we would make a move for him. I see BFS has been playing down his impact from the off which woud suggest to me that either he's a squad player or we have a complete gem and BFS is trying to deflect some of the buzz about this signing. Hoping for the latter scenario.

I had to go off to work so asked Mr Miey if he could do the honours and he did but I assume he didn't see his e-mail until after he wrote his.

Don't get your hopes up for this guy, I'm just saying it. Sorry to be not so optimistic. Squad player as someone wrote :-( Hopefully I'm totally wrong here, but don't think so.... Cheers

Squad players are always welcome when the squad is a small one like ours! And lets hope you are wrong mate!
