Rovers "Mass Exodus" Predicted!!!

Sunday and what else are the newspapers going to do apart from predict a mass exodus from Blackburn Rovers!!!

Most of these Sunday newspapers also produce daily's, but with a Sunday comes a whole new license to print whatever and whenever with more room to print as well on a larger scale that they see fit to charge double the money for. Today's offering saw Benni McCarthy, Stephen Warnock and Christopher Samba all being prepared to leave Ewood Park with Sam Allardyce needing to take advance and cash in on these players to raise some more money to add to his modest kitty that is understood to be available.

31-year-old McCarthy could return to his former Portuguese club Porto but is understood to prefer a return to Spain with Champions League bound Atletico Madrid, however, no fee was mentioned for the South African International!!!

25-year-old Samba will join forced with Mark Hughes again as the impression is that the Congolese International will join up with Hughes at Manchester City. However, again no fee was mentioned!!!

27-year-old Warnock will make a big money move to Tottenham Hotspur. The England International will set Tottenham back £7.5 million, but of course Spurs need to sell before they can by anyone is the understanding that their manager Harry Redknapp has given.

Just because it is printed in ink it doesn't make any of it true, however, personally I'd say that Benni leaving wouldn't be that much of a surprise or a blow really is it, just the thought of losing another striker with Matt Derbyshire and Roque Santa Cruz also understood to be moving on is more than a little worrying given the fact that we'd be left with only Jason Roberts to play with!!! The Wall has been a superb signing for us but didn't live up to the high standards last season that he set when he first arrived, so if we can bring in at least ten times what we paid for him (probably more with it being Man City) then I'd not be surprised to see Allardyce accept and use his abilities to bring in another quality (yet cheapish) central defender to replace him?!?! Stevie W is the one that I'd be most concerned about losing and think that we should do all we can to fend of any interest keeping him at just about any cost!!!

Id like to see McCarthy stay until we sign a proven goal scorer, as Benny was our top scorer thast season, and he will get another 10-15 next season. If we could get 5m for him, id say yes, as after next season, he will be probs past his best. Samba, would like to see him stay unless we get offered 10m+. Warnock, id take no less than 18m for him, without doubt better than wayne bridge, should be englands number 2 left back, and as he can also play CM, it adds value, if Bridge is worth 11m, warnock is easy worth more

Definitly keep Benni he will always score had a excently record tbf last season, just got a bad attitude.. be hard to replace him. All the rest is rubbish spurs are always linked to everyone as are man city!!

id let mccarthy go IF we get gudjohnsen as a replacement id say its a perfect match. allerdyce will get the best outa him and ben tel haim if he comes also! wnt be suprosed if we get linked with kevin nolan soon either

Dont sell Warnock!!! whoever it is that would be a bad move. He is our best player IMO alongside Nelsen and McCarthy (when motivated). I wouldnt let McCarthy go but I would sell Cruz if it meant having Eidur instead! Keep Roberts, the battering ram is always needed.

Do you think Sam would let all these players go? I don't think so unless he has targetted replacements.

Unless the offer is ridiculous (i'm talking 15mil+), there is no way i would contemplate selling Samba, He can spend a decade at this club and we can build a solid defence around him. If this is the kind of business were gonig to do, then Rovers can only go backward. Out: Reid, Dunn, McCarthy,Cruz... the young and exciting ins will be sorted by the big man

A media conspiracy. The press only print stories about talented players leaving rovers and they are keen to link us with any misfit going. Do other tems have to put up with this? I can't see Big Sam compromising the defence by letting Chris Samba or Steve Warnock go - they both give 100% effort to Rovers - at least not without securing good replacements. We might need to lose some players though to allow room for new blood.

looks like this was a load of rubbish anyway! stupid newspaper! and I agree with your comments about Samba retro mate.

I think the squad does need an overhaul but not all at once and cetainly not at the expense of every good player - Warnock to Spurs, well he should look at Bentleys jump to fame there.... Samba to City, im not sure Shiek Urmoneymaker has gone from buying players like Kaka to buying Samba, no offence to the big man, Benni to Porto - yeah i could live with that and i agree with Retro when he said about Dunn - a good player when.if fit, but this doesnt happen often enough to justify his wages, would def keep Reid though, Zurab im not sure about, he's handy but is that enough??? Im sure Brown and Bunn will go an Fielding promoted
