Browny Ready To Leave Ewood

Jason Brown is seriously considering his future at Blackburn after years as a loyal back up to both Brad Friedel and now Paul Robinson.

The 27-year-old has played 3 games this season and to be fair has been as solid as a rock in all of them.

Brown, talking to the L.E.T said - 'Maybe an exit is inevitable. Paul Robinson looks to be No.1 and you can't get away from the fact I want to be playing regular football, whether that be here or somewhere else only time will tell,"

'If that is the manager's decision then that will be and if an opportunity comes up to go somewhere else then I would have to look at that seriously.

'I will have to go away, have a think in the summer with the family and see what options are there.," added the Welshman.

'If there is an option to go and play somewhere I will have to have a discussion with the manager and the club.

'I would consider dropping into the Championship. I have to be a realist, I am not going to walk straight into a Premier League team.'

Fair play to Jason as he is being honest here. I can't see him dislodging Paul with the form he is in so I would expect him to move on.

Dude you beat me to this story to! I'll just copy and past some of my thoughts from what I wrote then in that case.

Personally I think that Brown has been VERY unlucky during his time at Ewood. Behind Brad Friedel he wasn't ever going to get a chance, but when the American left this could have been his chance but Paul Ince didn't fancy giving this to him. When Brown deputised for Paul Robinson this season he did little wrong but as soon as Robbo was fit Browny was out again, and that was harsh to say the least. Maybe Browny doesn't have the quality to play at the very highest level (however, he's played for Wales) but I feel he at least deserves the chance to find out so I wouldn't hold it against him if he moved on over the summer, I'd be surprised if he didn't actually.

I was never a massive fan of his but he really changed my opinion in his performances this season, especially against United (at ewood) when we were robbed. However, i think he deserves to be a first choice keeper and would be brilliant for a championship club. I hope someone sees sense and gives him the chance.

For a Championship side he would be a great signing no doubt. He has never done bad in my eyes and I have always been sold on him. He has learnt from Brad Friedel as well which is never going to be a bad experience!
