Roque Now Happy At Rovers - Make Your Mind Up!

Roque Now Happy At Rovers - Make Your Mind Up!

Paraguay striker Roque Santa Cruz has denied wanting to leave Blackburn Rovers and has AGAIN expressed that his comments to Paraguayan media were taken the wrong way.

My advice to Roque is if you dont want to be caught out - shut up and get on with things.

Roque, speaking to Sky Sports said - 'Blackburn is like a family to me and I've always tried to give my best for the club,' he told reporters.

'I've got a lot of friends there and there's a good atmosphere for me to continue.'

Blackburn manager Sam Allardyce said earlier this month that Santa Cruz had been a sneak in engineering a move away from the club. Comments that echoed what all Rovers fans had feared.

But the cultured striker has now said he has spoken to Big Sam and explained everything.

Cruz continued - 'There's been a lot of confusion with regard to what I've said to the media here,'

Time will tell on this one but if you really do like it here Roque keep a lid on it and let your skills do the talking.

Personally I don't know what to believe anymore, have RSC's comments been misinterpreted all along with them only admitting his ambition to play for a bigger club and not exactly desire (which would be more in thinking with the kind of character that we believed he was) or has the realisation that perhaps the RSC might not get the move that he wants this summer started to sink in so he's trying to repair bridges to make his possible future at Ewood a smoother one?!?!

Sell him of, by Tuncay and Josh kennedy, Ryan Taylor (relegated with newcastle wasnt he?), maybe david wheater, and with the change, send out a search team to find bombom.... My best bet is he is pigging out at the local Krispy Kreme, or hiding in Mikeys bed.....take your pic

persoanlly id like to see him on video saying he would like to stay and explain all the crazy stuff himself, if its not true about him saying he wants to go etc then great we have a world class striker next year and id welcome him with open arms. sure we could still buy tuncay, mr williams has to invest this year! he knows it himself or we could be in serious trouble again! any1 herd rumors about are transfer kitty?

I think we are fairly limited as usual but we need to make the best of what we have got, we have freed up some wages already with a fews players on there way. If I was to guess without selling anyone we would prob have about £8 million.

This feels like the same senario that engulfed benni after his first season with us. Saying things and then back tracking when the realisation emerged that the big move wasn't going to happen. I've been saying for a few months that, due to injury and consequent lack of form, many clubs won't be willing to take the expensive risk on roque, potentially leaving him at Rovers come kick-off. Personally I am disappointed with his recent attitude but he is a world-class player who would be hard to replace so having him for a thrid season perhaps without as much furore surrounding him, might be good for us.

Championship Cost Per Goal So Far In 2016/17

The end of the Championship campaign of 2016/17 is only a month and a bit away from fans across the country but as we go in to the remaining weeks of the campaign...

Positive Signs For Bennett

Bennett was positive of Blackburn being able to see off Lancashire rivals Preston heading into this game at Ewood Park after the Norwich and Fulham results.

Minor Graham Setback

Blackburn had to do without Danny Graham against Preston following the groin problem that forced him off against Fulham last week. He could return against Brighton next week.

Hugely Frustrating

Mowbray admitted Blackburn didn't start the game well against Preston but had then been the dominant side so was 'majorly disappointed' not to record a victory.
