'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Vital Blackburn Exclusive!!!!!!!

Reports are circling that Australian International striker, Joshua Kennedy, currently plying his trade in Germany, with Karlsruhe, who have just been relegated from the Bundesliga, is after a move to the EPL.

Kennedy, who had a public fall out with his manager, was used by former Australian Manager Guus Hidiink, and is currently used by Pim Ver Beek as the main target man up front. With a prolific record for his country, it is rumoured a fee of 3 Million pounds could secure his transfer.

Kennedy has indicated that it is time to move on, and his manager has been doing the circles with several Premier League Clubs.

Sasman's Australian Sources say that Bolton, Blackburn and Wigan lead the chase for the International striker. As fellow VBER Retro said, lets hope Emo and Grella get in the ear of Sam Allardyce.

Realistically, he is Big Sam's sort of player, and I believe Benni McCarthy or even Matt Derbyshire will make the perfect partner for Big Josh.....

sasman
This man wont stop until the entire starting XI of Australia is the Rovers starting XI....
Mikey D
well id take Scott McDonald, Tim Cahill, Mark Bresciano and Mark Swarchzer, not convinced the others are Blackburn Material lol. But this is no joke mate, watch this space.....
sasman
any rumblings down under about this gathering pace? or is it early stages stuff?
Mikey D
Not gathering pace yet- this really is a Sasman exclusive!! Kennedy is a true hero of Aus football. but more importantly- put the ball near his head and he simply won't miss . Quality quality BARGAIN
retroflair31
Who Knows, Sas knows.... Right About Walcott Right about Grella Right about Holman Kennedys turn....
sasman
I'm not sure about this guy, he isnt exactly prolific. He hasn't scored that many at all this season although he hasn't layed lately, but I think thats due to the fight he had with his coach.
durks de rover
santa cruz says he is staying????
Blue n Whitey
Article up mate.... Apparently he is happy here!!!
Mikey D
i dont blame him, id be happy there also, its becoming a home away from home!!!!!
sasman
maybe your next holiday destination Sastinator?!
Mikey D
So tell us more about this revelation? I'm never confident bringing in players for £3m who are a complete gamble having never played in a major league.
roversman
thats a fair point roversman, his striker rate is about 1 in 3 in club football, whilst in international football its 1 in 2, and this is after the oceania era where we played the might of solomon islands and won 31-0....... if Guus Hiddink rated him over Mark Viduka and Scott McDonald, surely something is good about him? Big lad, 6ft 4 i think, can head the ball in from any distance, and holds up the ball well. Needs a player like Derbyshire who will run all day to be working of him, or maybe two attacking mids like Dunn and Tuncay
sasman
He is basically Peter Crouch but good. Here is a vid with 5 of his 6 international goals: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_zuF2x-lGg Note he scores often of Emerton's crosses.
jerruy
lol love your comment jerruy. links well with emo
retroflair31
everyone links well with emo, you simply cannot not link well with emo, does that make sense? lol
sasman
I am confused Sas but he looks good on that video... almost like Carew just not as massive!

60 Seconds with Josh Kennedy:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_MpgbPrVTE&feature=PlayList&p=01FDA6B4C7A7E76C&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=15 .............His nickname is Jesus!
jerruy
I saw Kennedy interviewed. He was asked about moving to England and Kennedy's reply was "I have said for years that I want to go to England. But saying that you can't score 2 goals in a Bundesliga season and get relegated and then get a move to England. Maybe I will have to wait a few years to realise that dream". His head is at least in the right place. Give him a chance Sam!
