Big Sam Disappointed With Result And Injuries

Blackburn Rovers manager Sam Allardyce was left disappointed following our 2-0 defeat against Chelsea, not only with the result, but also with further injuries picked up.

Allardyce felt that we made it too easy for Florent Malouda to get in to head Chelsea ahead during the defeat at Stamford Bridge, however, he was pleased with chances that we created in an "OK" first half.

Allardyce told Sky Sports: "I thought our first half performance was OK, we created good opportunities.

"I have to say I'm disappointed (with Malouda early goal) It was a great header but I thought we could have done better on the goal.
"

Gael Givet and Ryan Nelsen picked up injuries, which meant both had to come off and Big Sam rued these latest injuries (which have blighted our season) as he believes these allowed Chelsea an easier ride in the end.

He added: "Then we suffered what we've been suffering for the back half of the season with two injuries at half time.

"Obviously that made life very difficult for us and we weren't as good in the second half which meant the game panned out as it should have done - a comfortable Chelsea win.
"
