'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Roque FINALLY Pulled Up For Being A Sneak

Blackburn manager Sam Allardyce has accused Roque Santa Cruz of being underhanded in the way in which he has tried to engineer a move away from Ewood Park.

Roque has gone to the media time and time again in a bid to get a move to a 'big club' and not once has anyone spoke out... until now.

Big Sam, speaking to Radio Lancashire said - 'He has become a little bit underhand. These remarks sneak out where we cannot control the situation,'

'It has happened too many times for it not to be him and it's disappointing.'

Roque was a smash hit in his first season but this season has been injury plagued and stop start to say the least.

A knee injury has kept him on the sidelines for the last two months and Allardyce, quite rightly, has decided enough is enough and told the player to keep focused on his recovery.

Big Sam, continued - 'Roque should concentrate on getting himself fit and playing his football for Blackburn Rovers,'

'It shouldn't be about where his future lies because without his fitness and without his capabilities of producing more than he did last season then he will struggle to get the sort of move he's looking for.'

'I've always got on with him extremely well, but fans will always take a dim view on players who openly say that they want to leave. I understand that, but we'll just have to wait and see,'

'The time here has been unfortunate for him and for me that he hasn't been fitter because he is a terrific player.'

Well said Sam and what he says he is 100% true, he might be a nice guy (Roque) on the outside but he has been very shifty in trying to get what he wanted.

The Ewood faithful will take a dim view of this.

ABOUT TIME! hopefully Roque might realise what a tool he has been - but I wouldnt hold my breath!

He's got a really big head and a very short memory, did anyone really rate RSC before you put him on map? GET RID!!! We had one of those in Berbatov last year. No player is bigger then any football club, as Roy Keane said "drive him anywhere he wants to go"
Phartman87
It seems he is stupid enough to return to a big club again and spend his time on the bench(see David Bentley)

Yeah well footballers for u, i think he will struggle now i want him to go and get the money.

ahh Santa i hate you almost as much as i hate Chelsea. yes that much. I applaud Sam for saying in a very polite way what were all thinking

Sam has kept his cool for sure but I think a lot of us just want to scream... off you go Roque and enjoy moving onto something "better" such as David Bentley, Craig Bellamy and Damien Duff to name but a few...

The guy is a complete snake and i feel sorry for the team that gets him because he is the worst kind of enemy.....the kind that smiles sweetly to ur face and then conspires and schemes when ur back is turned!!!! Big Sam will deal with him correctly...ull see

mikey d have to agree with most of what you said apart from your point on duff. In his first two seasons a chelsea he was first team regular with robben and played just as well as he did at us therefore as chelsea where in thee champions league i think it is safe to say he has moved onto something better then. I personally would like to see him back at rovers if newcastle go down but only for a cut down price of 1 to 2 mil as he would really push pedersen for a starting place

It's sad when you think he was a great player last season and this he has been injured and seems to be wanting out - especially after signing a new contract! However, Bellamy, scored good goals for us, as did Beni then Santa - I like all of them - if they want to move on and we get more than we paid for them and they leave us in a comfortable league position then fair enough.
