Rovers in Transfer Mode

Safety almost assured, with only the most unimaginable results occuring over the remaining two rounds sending Rovers into the Championship, Blackburn Rovers, Sam Allardyce and the British Press have already started the funny season of football, with Rovers linked with players from across the globe. Below is a quick summary of the rumours of the past week, and hopefully, we can keep updating on a regular basis.

Rumoured Transfer Ins

Darren Bent (Striker)

Currently plying his trade at Tottenham, Rovers might be tempted to ask for Darren Bent plus cash in any deal for Roque Santa Cruz

Likelihood- High

Peter Crouch (Striker)

Likelihood- High

Gael Givet (Defence)

Playing for Valencia, Zigic's name has been floated around all season, however, he has publicly stated that the club is willing to sell him in the off season.

Likelihood- Medium

Rumoured Transfer Outs

Tugay (Midfield)

The Maestro, The Turkish Midfielder established himself as a fans favourite at Ewood Park, and after 8 seasons of Loyal Service, it is time to wish our hero a farewell. He might be back on a coaching basis, fingers crossed, but time will tell

Season long loan started well for Danny, however, it fell apart at the end of the Ince era, and wasnt to be seen since. Sam has already sent him back to Man U

Likelihood- Done

Oijer appears to be on his way back to Holland, after a successful stint at Rovers. Enjoyed a few years of first team football, however his contract wont be renewed end of season.

Roque Santa Cruz (Striker)

1 Great year, 1 shocking year, bye bye Roque. His transfer wish will come true, just who he goes to we dont know

Likelihood- High

Matt Derbyshire (Striker)

Sent out on loan, Matty has turned Greek football upside down, scoring goal after goal, and now he is one of the most hunted players in Greece. Unfortunately, he might not be coming back

sas.. I am curious where exactly Pompey would find any cash to buy Santa Cruz. In my eyes, this swap is a 0% chance. We might buy Crouch, but it'll be with money made from selling Santa to City or Spurs, I don't see anyone else coming in for Santa either.
Money4midfield
They have 18m from selling Diara, and 10m from selling defoe, of which they only spent 4m of on Belhadj? However I doubt if it will all be spent on RSC. Maybe Crouch + 5m or so.. Id rather have Bent..
