Lets Keep All Of Ewood Full Of Blue & White

Sam Allardyce wants to keep both ends of Ewood Park full of Rovers fans.

The technique of having low cost seats in the Darwen end to fill the ground full of the Blue and White Army has been an undeniable success with the atmosphere and support the best it has ever been from the home fans.

Rovers fans were chraged only £20 to see the last 3 home games - Wigan, Pompey and West Brom in an attempt to keep Rovers in the division.

Asked if he would like this to remain the case for the long run, there was only ever going to be one answer from the Big Man.

Big Sam was talking to Rovers.co.uk - 'Again it was a tremendous atmosphere at both ends behind both goals,'

'I'll do my very best to persuade John the Chairman and the trust to continue that into next season.

'It is a very important part that is played by the supporters.'

As a man that has tried both ends during the run in (Blackburn end for Wigan at home and Darwen end on Saturday) I can confirm that both ends were rocking.

If we keep it this way you will have at least one very happy customer!

This experiment has panned out better than I think even the board imagined. Top stuff from the guys upstairs! lets see more of it!

Was a great idea couldn't keep it going for a season though, will need some clver marketing ideas, for next season. As it would be unfair on the rest of the crowd season ticket holders.

it will take a restructure of deals but it can happen for my money. It wont be easy but the brains had better start thinking soon if they want this to happen...

I've always admired your board are fantatstic in the way they deal with the fans, using TV money to freeze season ticket prices etc. But with the financial pressures of the PL there has to be a balancing act, it's all well and goog doing this in the last few games of the season but it's completely unsustainable for a longer period. IMO you should save these 'promotions' for special occasions when a packed house is needed to drive the team to victory e.g. PL squeeky bum time or CC semi finals etc

cheers phartman, you are probably right there mate but it is good to dream. Rovers really struggle fans due to glamorous neighbours and alternatives but for the die hards this increased fan base has made us very happy. just under 25,000 there on Saturday, about 24,000 of them rovers fans. Thats about 4,500 more than usual home fan wise, happy days!

i think getting 25000 fans in there, with 5000 of them at cheaper prices, is much better business then getting 20000 fans in the stadium. Sure, we arent gonna fill ewood, but buy what i see on TV lately, the ground is rocking!!!!! keep it up lads

it is nice to see everybody getting involved in the chanting! it really does my head in when a small section start a good chant going and others turn around as if we are wierd or something...
