Danny Simpson Returns Home to Man United

After a bright start to his Premier League Career, with several starting performances under the Paul Ince Era, a couple of errors forced Danny Simpson back onto the bench. Whilst the lad does have quality, Paul Ince, and then Sam Allardyce resorted to the proven Dutchmen, Andre Oijer, at right back.

Initially signed on a season long loan from the Red Devils, both clubs agreed to terminate his deal, allowing him to return and train at Manchester for the remainder of the season.

We wish Danny all the best in his future, and hope he can eventually crack it as a Premier League Player. Thanks for your contributions this season!!!

I had high hopes for this lad, he started of well, but just couldnt cope with the demands of premier league football. Sure, he was never going to stay here, but I dont really see him cracking into the Man U first team

just not good enough, i think he will have a good future in the game tho!

This is why i luv big sam.....he came in and instantly ejected the players who were not good enough....he's had to cope with a few more this season but they will be gone in the summer too

Well, he wasn't going to get in the team again this season, so why not send him back early. I disagree that he wasn't good enough - he's a young lad, and I think with a few more years of good coaching he will be a very solid player. All young defenders make mistakes. We need to prioritise a right back now (although we'll hopefully have Emo back for the new season.

hes not good enough tho? or he would be starting? big sam clearly thinks hes not good enough anyhow and thats what counts :D hes just not ready ggive him a few years and then id take him back.

I'm with u scott...if Simpson was good enough then Sam would not be playing the former MK Dons captain in front of him at RB...Why would anyone defend Smpson?? He's not even our player...JOG ON!!!!

This makes perfect sense to me - he wont get used, hes proved to be ok but not what we need and we get to save a few weeks worth of money. Jobs a good un...

We were playing a 35yr old with no real pace (good positioning though) and an attacking midfielder -at rite back - If Simpson was good he would have displaced Andrews easily and pushed Ooijer although granted Sam could've went for the experience there instead - but i do agree that in a few years with a few more games at one of the promoted clubs, where he would get more 1st team games, he would be a solid player...
