Roberts Not To Be Risked Against Pompey

Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce has revealed that Jason Roberts will not be risked for the visit of Portsmouth to Ewood Park on Saturday.

It was suggested earlier in the week that Roberts would play a part but Big Sam has revealed that he wont be risked at all in case the injury flares up.

Allardyce told the club's official website. -'He's not got the all-clear just yet. We can't take any chances that the bone may break again,'

'So we'll just have to leave it and hope he can play some part before the end of the season.

'But after this one there is only two games left so we'll just have to wait and see.

'We've coped very well without the players that are injured at the moment and it's a credit to the rest of the team with the performances and the results they've produced, particularly at Ewood.'

Samba you're up mate...

Well we could be missing Glen Johnson & that is far worse from our point of view. However I think we'll both be ok & would love it if the barcodes went down!!!

Am trying to stay positive and am hoping for a draw. That IS positive where I come from!

I think we can beat Pompy no probs....just fear that both teams will settle for a point!!!

Please god no! We need Samba back to cope with Crouch. Why the hell can't we risk him? Isn't it a situation where we should be taking risks? As far as I can see, this is the most-winnable game we have left, and we should be taking all the risks we can to make sure we win it (WBA looks winnable on paper, but if we need to win it to stay up, and WBA are playing without any pressure, then it is going to be a very tough game).
