After our poor performance against Manchester City, many Rovers fans would have taken a look around the grounds, wondering how teams in a similar position to us performed this weekend.
Bottom Placed West Brom almost certainly nailed their coffin, going down at White Hart Lane to Tottenham 1-0.
Gareth Southgates Middlesborough lost 2-0 at home to Manchester United, who now have 1 hand on the Premiership Trophy. Newcastle lost on the road, 3-0 to Liverpool.
Outside the bottom 3, Sunderland lost at home to Everton and Portsmouth were defeated by Arsenal, 3-0. Hull City are yet to play.
As we look at the table now,
14)Portsmotuh 35 games 38 Points
15)Blackburn 35 37
16)Sunderland 35 35
17)Hull City 34 34
18)Newcastle 35 31
19)Middleborough 35 31
20)West Brom 35 28
With 3 games to go, we are actually in a better position then we were last week, with only 6 points seperating us, a loss for Newcastle and Boro, and at least a point for us will see us safe....
Anyone hoping Hull get a draw today, leaving Newcastle 4 points adrift hehehe
