Nelsens' Warning To The Rovers
Blackburn captain Ryan Nelsen has warned his team-mates that complacency will not be accepted and the boys should avoid thinking they are safe - because we are not yet.
Sunday's 2-0 win over local rivals Wigan means that the Blue and White Army are six points clear of trouble with four games left.
However, the goal scorer at the weekend (his first in 141 games for Rovers) has insisted the task of avoiding relegation must be completed first before anyone gets ahead of themselves.
Nelsen - speaking to Rovers.co.uk, said - 'We know there is still some graft to go, but we are looking forward to the last four games of the season,'
'The team has always tried not to look at the relegation battle, we've always tried to look at getting points every game and thinking about going up and not down, and the win over Wigan has given us a real boost to do that.'
Sound words indeed from our new goal hero.

I think we are all elated that we are nearly there but there is work to do. A win/draw at City and a home win against Pompey and we are there and we have ended this nightmare of a season...

nightmare of a season? i think its been a hoot. sacked a manager, looked liked being relegated and then wam bam big sams the man. every win just means more this way

hahaha, i sort of agree with u retro. THis is the first season in a while were a win is life or death, and i celebrate for a week when we do win. Hwoever i think we all would prefer regular wins and european football every other season lol

can we mix and match guys??! One season of each. The danger we are in has bought out the good in Rovers fans and passion that is rarely seen. Never have we all gone so mentla at ewood when goals are scored... that Spurs game in particular and the Wigan one - I could barely lift my arms afterwards!

Big sam came in and has saved Rovers from the drop, but the appointment if Ince, untried at the higher level and not enough experience to tackle the premier yet. Managers need to have good brounding and Chairmen should not try and gamble with managers, It could be an expensive mistake and nearly was for Rovers this season.

Retro ur mad!!!! ha ha iv hardly slept, took loadsa stick from my cohabitants (In Bolton) and only seen MOTD four times all season!!! Cant bare to watch when we lose!!! It is the first season that its mattered or a long time but iv not enjoyed it....Though i gotta say bein there on Sunday against Wigan took me back some years to winning the league etc...the passion within the crowd was immense!!! Lower the prices next year and fill the ground!!!
